Softball Team Raises Cancer Awareness

On October 9, 2009, USC Salkehatchie’s softball team played a fall exhibition game which they designated their Breast Cancer Awareness Game. They wore pink Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirts as part of their uniforms that day. According to then-Coach Mitch Smith, “This is an important issue, and we wanted to wear the pink shirts and designate the game as Breast Cancer Awareness day to raise awareness of this disease.”
