Students, faculty and staff participated tin the annual Carolina/Clemson Blood Drive. Blood donated counted in the annual Carolina/Clemson blood drive battle as pints toward Carolina's total.

The International Festival conducted at USC Salkehatchie September 19-22 included presentations on nine countries: Brazil, Romania, Ireland, Spain, India, China, Taiwan, Cameroon, and South Africa. In addition, students enjoyed a discussion with an international student panel where students discussed how “the States” differ from their home countries. Panelists were from England, Nigeria, Jamaica, Australia and Antigua. Students also enjoyed the Eurovision Song Contest where Marybeth McDonnell won a gift certificate for guessing the winning song.

USC Salkehatchie Commencement was held on May 2. Clif Webb, VP for Public Affairs at Savannah River Solutions delivered the commencement address. Over 181 degrees were awarded.
