Direct Deposit

Direct deposit is now offered at USC Salkehatchie for those students who are receiving an overage check from their Financial Aid and have a checking account in which funds can be deposited. Direct deposit is a more convenient method of receiving overage funds and will be mandatory for all students beginning Fall 2012.

For this semester, any students not participating in direct deposit who wish to receive a paper check must complete fee payment and process through the business office, then wait 24 hours to pick up their check in person from the Business Office. Spring 2012 in-person fee payment will not begin until 9:30 a.m. on January 4, 2012.

Students MUST advance their fees and process their bill online in VIP in order for direct deposit to take place. If you pay your bill online by Jan. 3, 2011, and if you are enrolled in direct deposit, your financial aid overage check will be deposited into your personal checking account beginning Jan. 5, 2011 (electronic deposit usually takes 24 hours; however, it could take up to 72 hours to be credited to your account, depending upon the policies of your bank).

Please fill out the form and return it to the USC Salkehatchie Business Office IF:

1. you expect to receive an overage check,
2. you have not completed this direct deposit form already, AND
3. you would like to have your overage funds direct deposited into your checking account.

*Please note that you must attach a voided check from your checking account to this form, in order for the direct deposit request to be processed.
