JONESUSC Salkehatchie is pleased to welcome Amanda Jones as its new head women’s volleyball coach.

“She has the right combination of experience, excitement and enthusiasm to lead the USC Salkehatchie volleyball program,” USC Salkehatchie Athletics Director Jane Brewer said.  “Coach Jones can’t wait to get here to USC Salk and bring our campus a competitive program ready to contend in our region.   We are thrilled to have her join us.”

Jones is originally from Atlanta, G.A. and was an All-America, All Peach Belt Conference and All-Southeast Region player at Armstrong State University in Savannah, G.A., completing her degree in 2013.  She has served as both a junior varsity and high school volleyball coach in Savannah and in Statesville, N.C.    Jones has also worked with club volleyball teams in the Savannah/Hilton Head area.

Indians volleyball will begin in the fall 2016 season. Coach Jones will begin her duties officially on Mar. 1  but has already begun  scheduling matches and recruiting  players.  Volleyball will compete in Region X of NJCAA with 12 competing colleges in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
